Pitch a story

What to send

• One paragraph on the subject and why it is worth a week.
• What the record would be: a document, a place, an object, a set of names.
• What you already have access to, and what you would still need.
• Two links to published work, if you have them.

What we look for

• A specific, locatable subject rather than a general topic.
• Sources that can be named, or a clear account of why they cannot.
• Something that leaves a record behind, not only a read.

What we do not run

• Anything that turns grief, disaster or communal violence into play.
• Province-versus-province ranking, or culture as a citizenship test.
• Work that depends on images we cannot clear.
